Tucked away off the main driveway into The Villages of Abbey Lane, kiddie corner to Dollarama sits my newest discovery in West Rouge, Nadi Halal Kebab House.
I wandered in on a hunch last Friday because my family was in the mood for Afghan grill since our (now former) favourite is inconvenient to get to since our move here, and was immediately greeted by a friendly lady with smiling eyes.
I ordered 2 chicken Tandoori, 1 beef kofta kebab, and 1 ground chicken kebab meals. All of the dinners come with naan, rice and a salad. The portions were more than enough to feed all five of us.
The savoury smells of Afghan spices had my mouth watering on the way home. I couldn’t wait to enjoy this meal.
The Tandoori chicken is by far the best I have ever had. Spiced and grilled perfectly and beautifully juicy. My kids kept on raving about how good their kebabs were and luckily, I managed to get a small bite of the other 2 kebabs.
Everything from the naan, the rice and the home made sauce were fantastically delicious. There were no leftovers, and none of us felt like we didn’t get enough.
Our old spot for Afghan grill is already forgotten now that we’ve discovered Nadi Halal Kebab House.
